I REALLY hope that this is a sequel to Human Revolution, it was one of the standout games of 2011 for me, I loved the setting, the 'open world' hubs, the multiple paths to complete your objective, playing tetris with your inventory to make things fit, upgrading your enhancements etc...

The game looked stunning, just imagine it on next gen hardware.

Yep, that was the thing I liked most, you could go in shooting if you wanted but 9 times out of 10 (apart from boss fights) there is always another way such in and out.

A lot of people were upset with the boss fights because it forced you into a fight; there was no stealth option.

DE:HR was pretty good.

Yeah it was a bit annoying, the original offered you an alternative to fighting the Boss though, iirc it was the german augmented human and you could get a "kill phrase" which you could use if you interacted with another character in a certain way earlier in the game.

But hell yeah I would love a sequel to Human Revolution, so long as they don't pull another Deus Ex 2 and put aliens in or some crap.

I REALLY want to play human revolution again, but its too soon and it would feel forced. A few more months maybe

I think the problem was that they outsourced the boss fights to another company for some odd reason which is why there is such a disconnect. The game was a moderate success for them hopefully they can afford to have it all internal to offer alternatives for boss fights.

Yep. Awesome game, quite well received by people. And me, too, which is rare. Probably because I've always wanted to be a robot, but a good game nevertheless.

Would be a shamefully bad business thinking if a sequel didn't appear soon... and there you have it.

For some weird reason I didn't ever get The Missing Link. Noticed it on Steam sale at least twice, but didn't.

They better make hair something that's not badly textured icosahedron, though, especially now that Square Enix has the mighty TressFX at their disposal.

I think boss fights are overrated, I'd much rather have them be smart about it and allow you multiple ways of taking them out with direct attacking them being just one of the options.

I'd rather games didn't include boss fights at all and instead challenged the player's intellect or relied on strong storytelling.

I agree, thus they're overrated but if they are going to have them then at least be smart about it instead of just making them a shootout. I'm with you though, I can live without them.

Boss fights didn't really bother me, what did was the ending...

Made me feel like all the decision making throughout the game meant squat.

Still I really enjoyed the game, wish it was more like Alpha Protocol with the choices/consequences though.

It sucks that we're unlikely to ever see another of that game. Sure, it wasn't the best game ever but I still loved it.

Still, with Obsidian more in control of their own destiny, maybe it or something similar will eventually happen.

I will probably pass on this. Didn't really like the originals to finish them. And while I finished DXHR, my opinion of the game was that it is about a 75 as opposed to the 90s it got for metacritic. The story concept while good was not very well put together mainly the lackluster characters that I felt nothing for. The Choices made along the way made no difference whatsoever on the outcome of like anything. Boss battles were crap. Playing stealth was boring as hell. (Yea, so cool watching guards move in static paths for 5 minutes to find that right moment.. NOT) and I'm not sure I would have even enjoyed playing a full gun assault to begin with. The hacking minigame was utter trash and pretty much you missed a lot of tid bits of the story if you didn't actually go and hack several computers. The DLC was better imho but still not enough to make me want to continue in the series.
