I used to have Google Voice set up on my Nexus 4 and it worked perfectly. Now, I changed my cell phone number, changed it on Google Voice, and went to activate it with the MMI code and got this message: "Call forwarding: Connection problem or call forwarding no supported". Why would it say this when it worked fine in the past? Do I need to do something differently or (cringe) call AT&T?

Carriers are limiting the forwarding feature and its because of GV i feel. are you using prepaid? it worked they changed their policy and now it will not. I wonder if thats true?

edit
