And while you answer that, be sure to mention the make/model of your smartphone as well as your usage pattern.

With moderate to heavy usage, I have to charge my HTC 8S every night. With little usage, it'll last me almost 2 days.

I can get almost a week out of mine, SGS3 GT-i9300 (5 and a half days easily)

All options (when you slide your finger down from the top of the screen) turned of until needed, also turn off phone when asleep little to moderate usage, and only turn on gps when I have to (ie, when delivering to a new, unknown to me location)

iPhone 5 with normal usage for a business phone: Mail, Virtual assistant, messaging using several apps.

By the end of the day I still have around 30% battery.

Sony Xperia Sola. Power saver feature on, auto brightness. Holds 3 days.

Very light usage, though - browsing internets on mobile data and listening to slightly more harmonic noise while commuting, some short calls, flashlight and alarm clock.

Samsung Galaxy S 3 (running CM10.1) I unplug it at 7AM each day and plug it back in at 10PM with 30% or so left on it

Galaxy Nexus (Toro), Android 4.2.2, 3800 mAH hour battery - depends on the usage, some days are heavier than others. But, I usually see anywhere from 24-48 hours of battery. I am a heavy texter, and always keep WiFi off (meaning more power hungry 4G LTE data radio is always on). I sometimes do push email, depending on the day.

AT&T Galaxy Note 2

- CleanRom ACE 4.5 - 4.1.2

- Stock Kernel - 3.0.31-679347 Jan 31st Build Date

- Baseband - I317UCAMA4

- Stock Battery - 3100mAh

I get about 1.5-2 days with 4-5 hours screen time. 1 day with about 7-8 hours screen time.

I'm mostly on LTE except when at home when I use WI-FI. Talk on the phone on average about 2 hours a day. I have 2 gmail accounts that are on push update. I have a few widgets that'll have background update enabled but I try to keep them to a minimum.

My AT&T One X (One XL) lasts roughly 1 full day (24 hours), depending on use. I have gotten nearly 2 days out of it with very little use, and I've killed it in a matter of 3-4 hours (Ingress).

iPhone 5

Light to moderate usage (Emails, a few phone calls, texting , light Spotify and maybe some web browsing) .

I could probably squeeze two days out of it, but I charge it every night (usually between 50-60%). I have a Mophie Helium case on it as well, so I can go for quite awhile without an outlet.

Moderate usage for me is pulling it out every half hour for 5 minutes, answering texts or emails. Playing with it for an hour over lunch (Web Browsing or games) and then continuing to check it afterwards.

Nexus 4.

By 5pm when I finish work it's normally at 70-60% roughly.

iPhone 5, jailbroken with themes/tweaks. I use it for work as well, work emails all day, text messages, not any calls, check facebook and by 4pm I am usually at 20% or so.

Also, I have horrible cell service in my office, due to me being in the middle of the building and my office is surrounded by concrete. So yeah its terrible.

I get about 4.5-6 hours of SCREEN ON TIME on my Nexus 4.

4g/WiFi throughout the day, mostly on 4g. Texts, internet, games

I unplug my phone around 0830 each day and plug it back in around 2200.

Lumia 800.

Work days - Surfing the web, MP3, calls, texts - Charge every night.

Days off - Little to no usage - 3-4 days tops.

Tried one time with no usage what so ever - 6 days.

Lumia 710 - Normal light apps/net/calls - 1-2 days

Left charging all day > heavy use at night for about 3 hours = <50% remaining the next day

I've killed the battery from 100% > Warning low battery in an hour playing games
