Man, topic was started on 2-28 and this is all there is to look at? Usually really like this topic more than the Windows desktop one as, to me, Linux desktops just seem to always look better!

Personally,

I think most stuff LOOKS better on Linux than Windows anyway. Never have figured out why, but they seem to, to me. Not on Linux, at the moment, so not posting anything else.

Pretty much stock Arch Desktop across my various installs. It's customized from stock look but I set them all up the same icon/theme wise.

I have recently moved to Linux world though I didn't know nothing about it but I am already in love with it and I already have a favorite Linux dist. but it's a pain in the neck to set it up for me and that would be Arch Linux. At the moment I am using Ubuntu 12.04 and here is my screenshot:

Edit: Forgot to post where I got the clock, etc from. My Icon are "Clear" and the link below for how to configure conky lua.

Just installed Arch in VirtualBox. I'm going to install it on my main Linux machine sometime next weekend. Oh, and by the way, how do you guys install archey? I followed some guides I found, but none of them work. Help is appreciated. Thanks! :)

Yea I like the sounds of Arch, simple and lightweight, but I am nowhere near pro enough, I think I would have too many problems.

Install Archey3 from the AUR. Go here to download the tarball and follow the instruction found here on the Arch wiki.

Thank You! :)

You're welcome, after that its a simple case of running archey in a terminal. If you want to use archey to take screen shots (archey -s) you will also need imagemagick: pacman -S imagemagick. In addition to this you will find the configuration file at ~/.archey3.cfg
