I thought I post this for all you Xbox people. They offer cards and digital download which should be an email with the code.

Bestbuy had the same deal recently, a lot of places have. I think newegg had theirs going on the same time as BestBuy. Good deal non-the-less.

Awesome, I needed to renew this month anyways.

I just picked this up as I got an email from MS about how my sub was up in April and it would auto renew, so thanks for sharing, but I do have a question. What happens if you let Live Gold run out exactly? I have had it since Day 1, so I really do not know.
I already picked this up, and by the time my renewal is up again next XBox should be out so I may need Live again, but I am more curious. I would not lose any of my points or anything correct? Just would not have access to the Gold features of games?

If you let Gold "run out", then yes you won't have access to Gold features. You will still retain your achievements, points, and you can always upgrade to Gold again to access Gold features. You can also purchase this card, and add the 12 month subscription to your account, and have it expire next April - they are stackable. So - my account was slated to expire in August 2013, and I bought a 12 month subscription card for $35, redeemed the code, and now my subscription expires August 2014.

Once upon a time you reverted to a "silver" account, although I don't think they use that terminology any more, since you either have a Live account or Live Gold.

Anyway, just make sure you shut off auto-renew now if you're going that route, they used to make it quite painful to turn off that way.

Thanks for the replies, I figured what you guys said would happen would, just wanted to make sure.
Turns out it does not really matter, I picked up one of these cards and got it today. Newegg's delivery is great since I am in the same state as them. Do have to pay tax as a result though, but not a big deal at all.
I do have Auto Renew off, so what I may do is just hold out until I need to activate the card, which considering I am renting the new Gears Of War, will probably be pretty soon. I think I have until April though anyway.
