neojoker Posted March 10, 2013 Share Posted March 10, 2013 Right now I have a GTX460 in my desktop, and I've been having random driver crashes for quite some time (literally months if not longer). I've tried updating the drivers, but it does no good. I'm on Windows 8 -- had the same issue on Windows 7 as well. This isn't a huge issue because I usually use my laptop and just remote connect to my desktop. However, occasionally I like to use the desktop for some simple video editing (Sony Vegas). I don't game -- the most I'd need to be able to run is something like GTA4. At this point, I'd just like to replace the card with something else and see if that works out better. neojoker Posted March 10, 2013 Author Share Posted March 10, 2013 Well, that's the problem. I don't want to spend much since physical usage of the machine isn't regular. But I really don't enough about the current graphics card market to know what to shoot for. I'd say $100 (US) would be fine, but I'm not sure if that's too little or just fine for what I would need.
