Windows 8 on Samsung Notebook

Hello everybody,

Recently I bought a notebook from Samsung with Windows 8 preinstalled.

Because there was no install-dvd included with the notebook (only a backup-program) I was wondering if I could download a Windows 8 install DVD and install it with the key that was used by the preinstalled Windows (I found it with a freeware tool).

Actually they key is embedded in the Bios of the computer. So all you do (in my experience) is run the Windows 8 installer off a disc / usb do a clean install and by the time you boot into windows it's already activated. It never once asked me for a key. That being said, you may want to make an image of that hard before you start just in case.
