n_K Posted March 15, 2013 Share Posted March 15, 2013 Cinnamon is sluggish and requires a mid-range graphics card to function without lagging (I still to this day cannot work out why). I don't have any problem with nemo though I don't use network drives. Nemo is a fork of nautaulis from gnome 3.4 before the gnome team made nautaulis 3.6 a baby's toy in comparison. Art_X Posted March 15, 2013 Author Share Posted March 15, 2013 in the laptop I only have a GeForce 8400GS, I can play 1080p content from network with no issue, it just seems to not want to display thumbnails or networked content, KDE and XFCE on gentoo did when I used it, and the only thing different to that is that i did not use gnome or a fork of it, I will try nautaulis and see what happens if needs be i can try KDE or XFCE again Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
