LibreOffice developers have been working on bringing the open source office suite to Android for more than a year. But aside from a remote control app that lets you use your phone to control presentations running on a desktop, nothing has yet hit the Android app store.

That could change quickly

Can't wait for this! You guys?

Thats cool since MS probably has no plans for Office for Android. I am using Office Suite Pro currently.

Libre Office has a poor desktop UX, I don't see it getting any better on a touch device.

It has it's issues on Windows, but it's an alright program. Better than what we have now on tablets that's free.

I don't use LibreOffice as much as I use to. It has too many compatibility programs with Office for my tastes. For my home documents it would be fine but I'd rather use Google Docs.

Kingsoft Office is the best Office Suite for Android atm IMO (On a tablet anyway, not tried it on a phone)

I've tried it at work on my Windows box and I was impressed by it. Is the Android version as good?

Its great, I tried a few different suites but found Kingsoft to have the most familiar UI we're used to, opens MS Office docs too, and vice versa iirc

Good set of features and I think you can connect online accounts to it, maybe skydrive or box, email function too I think, been a while since I used it

Not a great looking UI at the moment but it will be interesting to see where they go with this
