Growled Member Posted March 15, 2013 Member Share Posted March 15, 2013 It's their own fault. Do some routine maintenance on your freaking ships. Raa, remixedcat and The Evil Overlord 3 Share
compl3x
I really don't understand the attraction of cruise ships. On vacation I want to get the hell away from people, not be trapped on a floating hotel full of them. The Evil Overlord 1 Share
DocM
Their recent troubles have all been with ships built by Fincantieri, an Italian shipyard that's one of the largest in the world. Don't see others of that brand having regular problems, so it seems a maintenance issue. Carnival could also be cheaping out on outfitting their hulls. Or both. remixedcat and The Evil Overlord 2 Share

Dick Montage
I loved my recent cruise, on a ship also built by Fincantieri. But P&O maintain their fleet VERY well.
The Evil Overlord
I say, rebuild the Titanic, oh wait, someone is already planning that But yeah, what's cheaper, taking the ship out of service in order to do maintenance work or let them become cesspits or potential floating deathtraps.
