Well, don't know if it's been hotfixed since then but the CCC didn't install for me.

On what OS? No problems here on Wind 7 64bit with 7950.

Installed without any issues. Found it a bit weird that these are dated older than the 13.2 beta 7 ones.

Installed fine here using Windows 8 x64 and a 7950. Upgraded from 13.2 beta 7. I just installed over them. Didn't uninstall old drivers first or use drivercleaner and such. Never really had problems doing it that way since forever.

But if you do have install problems, I guess you should do a clean install. Google "how to properly uninstall amd drivers". Also, don't use the standalone AMD Catalyst uninstall utility. It's not compatible with Win8.

Really? I just used it fine.

And then the install worked fine, so there you go.

Interesting... did you use this http://sites.amd.com...ll-utility.aspx ? It's known to corrupt some system files and mess up power options, safe mode, personalization options, etc. If you did and have no problems then you might have dodged a bullet.

I just used the Catalyst Install Manager built into every driver install :p 'Express Uninstall All AMD Software'...I've never had any reason to use a separate cleaner

(And no, didn't realize you meant something else entirely earlier.)

I just install over the top of the old driver, then check device manager to make sure the new driver is in use

I only remove the old one if I'm having problems with it / after the new install

Strange, I always thought that unless you did uninstall old drivers you were bound to run into problems. D:

The new drivers seem to be working fine anyway, not noticed any large improvements on the games I play; probably because they're not mentioned in the changelog. :p

I've almost never had to, but there are certainly times here and there.
