UK ISPs start blocking KickassTorrents, H33t and Fenopy

Sent a tip in about this on the day it happened.

I was... um... monitoring kat for someone and it worked one minute, the next time I refreshed, it didn't.

Shame it wasn't news worthy :/

This week several of the largest Internet providers in the UK started to block KickassTorrents, Fenopy and H33T, but this doesn?t mean that the sites have become entirely inaccessible. As a direct result of the blockades several proxies for the banned sites are now being overloaded with traffic..

I think they're talking about accessing the sites through Tor, not downloading.

if Tor can get you to the website, then you SHOULD, I'd think, be able to download

Tor spoofs your IP and you can select I think where you are(imaginatively)

Your torrenting client gives the server your real IP address via Tor and then everyone connects to you bypassing Tor AFAIK.

This is truly censorship, Idk about the UK but I know France is good at taking matters to the streets (i.e., a protest)
