Got myself a 3DS, now what?

Recommended Posts

So I picked myself up a 3DS yesterday (was on sale and I got a bonus check this week :D).

Anyways I picked up Zelda OoT 3D and NSMB2 at the store and I grabbed Mario Kart 7 off of the estore, any other games good?

Can recommend 3D Classics: Kirby's Adventure and Gunman Clive, on the eShop.

And, Naruto: Powerful Shippuden and Kingdom Hearts 3D, if you are a fan of those series.

Well, to name some retail titles... Super Mario 3d Land is good. As is Paper Mario: Sticker Star. If you like strategy games, many say the new Fire Emblem is quite good. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate if you like MH.

There's also some more good stuff coming later on in the year.

It's also worth noting that the 3DS is backwards compatible. So if you never owned a DS, like me, all of those games are available too.

Now buy a flash cart. ... there are flash carts for the 3DS right?

There are, but they don't play 3DS games.

Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask might be a game to get as well if you're into that series.

Or try supporting dev studios that release decent games.

Splinter Cell 3D was pretty fun. it's a remake of Chaos Theory.

Super Mario 3D Land was pretty insane. the later levels are pretty tough too!

Luigi's Mansion looks awesome.

if you get one i'd recommend the SuperCard DS2, it's got its own built in extra CPU making it great for emulation

You can. It just has to be formatted as fat32 according to this post from last year.

Just get excited for October :p In the meantime, Fire Emblem, Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 should keep you occupied.

Paper Mario is great, really addictive, some of the lego games are good if you can get them on a sale. Mario Tennis, Mario 3D as well are good. There are a lot of great games on the store and are all pretty cheap :)
