never owned one in my life

if you get one i'd recommend the SuperCard DS2, it's got its own built in extra CPU making it great for emulation

Just get excited for October :p In the meantime, Fire Emblem, Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 should keep you occupied.

I second Professor Layton And The Miracle Mask. Super fun and hours upon hours of gameplay. Mario Kart 7 and NSMB2 are also fun.

Paper Mario is great, really addictive, some of the lego games are good if you can get them on a sale. Mario Tennis, Mario 3D as well are good. There are a lot of great games on the store and are all pretty cheap :)

worked for me on my 3ds last time i popped it in a few months ago. and supercard is usually pretty good about getting an update out if a new firmware breaks things

I'm going to have to state that we keep discussion away from detailed information on using flash cards to play emulated retail games, more specifically Nintendo DS games (most of which can be found for cheap now). Since this is the most common reason people buy these cards, this does break one of the main forum rules on piracy.

The odd mention of their existence is fair, since it is a thing that exists, and especially since there is a 3DS homebrew scene.

I will just clean the thread for now, but take note of this and keep to supporting the development studios. :)

Also it is good to note that Nintendo just put out a new update.

The XL is a HUGE improvement over the original 3DS. I don't know why Ninty thought the first 3DS design/size was good. If I was cynical I would say they were bilking consumers.

Let us know what you think of the 3DS XL ;)

The original design is much better at being a system you can actually take with you. Perhaps that's why they thought the original model was fine.
