I know that so far there has only been a teaser image released back in late Feb. but I thought I would make a topic and see what people think of the series and whether they would like to see a JC3.

Avalanche Teases Just Cause 3

Incidentally, JC2 is $3.00USD on steam if you've never played it. It's a heap of fun.

Well i think we can safely say it will have multiplayer. Which if done right, could be absolutely brilliant.

It will be interesting to see what they do with the story as that has been the weakest part of the series.

It just felt like filler in between the chaos.

I'd love a fully destructible persistent environment. If it is next gen (most likely) then i don't see why it isn't possible. It might just not be fun from a gameplay point of view.

Meh. I played the demo of 2 and it was alright for the hour of gameplay it offered. Then a couple of months ago I picked it up for ?12. I think I've played the full game less than I played the demo. The action was too mindless for me, the story more so.

The first hour of the full game is very scripted and boring, it picks up after that TBH.

I've played JC2 for many hours. After playing through the story for a little while I decided to just explore the massive map and just went around shooting everyone, blowing things up and causing chaos. I eventually grew tired of it. I'm not too interested in JC3 as I can only imagine it'll be more of the same.

The action was too mindless for me, the story more so.

Although I enjoyed playing it, I have to agree that it's mindless.

Huh. I might play it again sometime in the next few days then and force my way through the beginning, thanks for the tip. (Y)

That is agood tip.

I found the start soo boring, go here do this, go there do that.

But after that, its more like GTA. do what you like, do missions or dont. :)

On another note, about the mindless destruction. that's sorta the point of the game. Its called "Just Cause" as in, just because. for no particular reason xD

I hope they improve the "checkpoint" system. Nothing worse than dying/turning the game off only to have to travel 20 bloody miles to get back to where you were.

The game also needs to tighten up the vehicle controls especially the planes. :s

I loved JC2. The only problem I had with it was that I spent so much time roaming around blow s**t up I never got too far into the story.

One of my favourite sandbox series. Glad it's getting an outing on the new consoles (although I'll naturally be getting the PC version). :D I vaguely remember encountering a rather pleasant glitch in the first game on the 360; was driving, caught some air, I think I crash-landed and then suddenly every single achievement unlocked for me.

My friends is a huge fan of JC2..      I never really got into it myself, quit after an hour..  but I saw him playing the game later, and it looked great!   He put in countless hours in it, flying jets and parachuting and it looked great for ps3.

I am definitely going to be playing JC3

The Graple mods etc were great.  The fun of tying 2 Passenger Jets together is hilarious not to mention attaching cars to them.  The Nuke mod fun for the first 30 minutes then got boring.
