Mars Gigapixel Panorama - Curiosity rover: Martian solar days 136-149 in The World

It?s a massive image composited from several days of captures by the Mars Curiosity rover. The level of detail is astounding. You could spend days zooming around in there looking at martian rocks.

Imagine that. It looks the same as the Sun on Earth. :p

guys common... this is obviously a soundstage with a desert backdrop and red filters put on the camera lenses to trick the world into thinking we made it to mars with any devices..... it's all a gov conspiracy! these pictures are too clear to be from mars.... pssshhh I mean common that one instrument on the rover looks like its a can covered in duct tape....</s>

really cool we are finally getting high resolution panoramic images stitched together for the world now... how long until we have a google Mars rover mapping the planet for Google Mars Street view?

Wait, Mars has a sun???

The same one you do. The "solar day" mentioned is Mars days since the rover landed. A Mars day is 24h:39m:35.244s long. A Mars year is 1.8809 Earth years.
