hitman Hitman Absolution save games disappeared

I've been playing the steam version of hitman and I'm quite a way into it, but now when I load up the game the Continue game option isn't available (greyed out). I can't find a savegame.dat file in the steam folders, there's just a hm5 file. Anyone know if there's a fix? I've just enabled cloud synching, guess if it was on before my saved games would have been stored in steam cloud but I've done nothing to remove the saved games myself. Really don't want to have to start again. :crazy:

I'll upload my Hitman save file for you if you want. I completed the game though so you can start where you left off but you'll have to remember the chapter because it will just count you as game completed every time you load. You can still get the achievements though if you dont have them. I dont know about the level unlocks and abilities though. Think those might stay as to what I completed.

Heres my save file.. just replace your file in

\Steam\userdata\[steamid#]\205930\remote

with this one I attached and keep on playing.. just select the chapter you left off at. Hope this helps.

The folder number may be different depending on which version of the game you have (in different countries and such)

either way, just replace the save file with that one and you should be fine.
