It doesn't do anything. Everything that is done, is because of the individual. Once that individual loses their willpower, they will go right back to what they were doing. Rinse and repeat. Thats how you get born agains and other people who just happened to "succumb to the devil for a moment."

Just FYI but, that logic you're using there is the same logic that people use to justify things like genocide and eugenics. (Hey we might murder a million, but over time we'll save billions!!)

Maybe you should read the part where the student threatened the teacher. He wasn't suspended for refusing to do the lesson, he was suspended for theatening violence against a teacher.

They didn't force the kids to stomp on the paper with the word Jesus on it.

They asked them to do it, to gauge a reaction and then talk about why some would have an issue doing so and others wouldn't.

Yeah I'm sure it would ok to right out a word for muslims or homosexuals on a sheet of paper and have students stomp on it to see the reactions because it encourages critical thinking. Every hypocritical leftwing group would be crying out for action and making threats.

The way the assignment is worded is to have the kids write the word on a paper, then you tell them to stomp on the paper, not the person. He didn't say "Stomp on Jesus", he said, "Stomp on the paper." So yes, it would be OK to write anything on that and say it in the correct way. It would encourage critical thinking, something many do not do.
