Powerpoint text animation help

Question

My Dad has just emailed me asking if I know how to create a specific text animation in powerpoint, only Office is a major Microsoft weak point of mine, and I have no idea how to do it.

What he wants (If anyone can show me how) is the word REVOLUTION and the animation is the letters EVOL to move around and separate from the rest and form the word LOVE

Or at least stand out from the rest so its easy to see the new word in the middle of the original word, maybe a different colour or something ?

I've managed to get EVOL to spin around, but its just the same word with the letters reversed, not rearranged for LOVE

Appreciate any pointers :)

I was reading on animation per letter but I can't find the custom animation option in PP 2010

I hate Office with a passion, it makes me want to kill furry animals

EDIT - Is there not a better way of achieving this than messing on in PP ?

EDIT 2: It doesn't have to be in PP, any format will do he says

Have the R, E,V,O, L, and ution be separate text boxes, and use the animation paths to reverse the appropriate letters. It might be a bit tedious to get everything looking right, but it should work.
