djdanster
Hi all, So firstly, let me say: I will be ordering from Amazon as I can get NDD as well as I have ?120 gift voucher for it. Ok, now down to business! I plan to order this as quick as possible. I plan to get a new graphics card as my AMD 5770 now seems to be lagging behind. I don't have a major preference between the two manufacturers (AMD/Nvidia) although I have always gone AMD in the past due to good driver support (others will disagree, but I never had many issues). I've been out of the game now for the past year or so as I lost interest due to lack of funds! Now I have some money I feel it's time for a new GPU. So, for under ?250, what is the best graphics card I can get. I'd only probably get a latest gen card such as the 7xxx or 6xx series. Games I mainly play, BF3 A LOT (will also play BF4), Fifa 13 (and next gen), Sim City and possibly bioshock infinite. EDIT: I was looking into the 7870, however I have a bigger budget so I can afford more. TIA!
Astra.Xtreme
At that price range, this is the best GPU within your budget: http://www.amazon.co...ords=gtx+660+ti Other flavors of the 660 Ti will bring the price down a bit, but having 3GB of vRAM will do wonders for future games. Otherwise, you can make your decision based on this: http://www.videocard...h_end_gpus.html djdanster 1 Share
TheLegendOfMart
For around that you can get 660Ti or 7950. Depends whether your preference is AMD or nVidia. djdanster and threetonesun 2 Share

Thanks, I know it's not that much in reality, but I don't think I've dropped more than ?250 on one item since my car :p. What frame rates are you seeing? Also, did you overclock it? How much better does it run? Is it pretty quiet?

IKR, I just spent $1500 on a new setup and I havent spent that much except for a car :p Anways I have a 680, so my frames wont be much help, but I dont typically mess with OCing. Mine is quiet even with a load, well quiet for me :p
