slumdogtrillionaire Posted April 11, 2013 Share Posted April 11, 2013 kingston data traveler 8gb.. was using ubuntu to create a multiOS boot pendrive.. it installed grub4dos on the pendrive... something went wrong and the pendrive is not showing up anymore in partition softwares.. in windows the drive shows up in my computer and device manager... but you cant really do anything with it... is this recoverable or throw in the bin? You can usually download some special software from the manufacturer's website, that will restore it to the way it was. I use that in conjunction with the hp usb format utility to bring dead drives back to life. .
