Brian Miller
Can someone help to find the layered PSD version of this generic Mac file icon? I would like to make some new icons based on this image, with my image appearing underneath the folded portion of the document. I found lots of "PSD" versions of the file, but they were all flattened versions; they might as well have been a PNG file! Thanks.
0 primexx
does Apple not have developer resources that give you things like that?
0 Brian Miller
I have no idea about that, but I can tell you there are many commercial icons that made extensive modifications to this exact image and so I assume it's available as a PSD file. 0 (Account no longer active)
I though Mac OS X icons were in a scalable vector format.
0 ajua
Here it is in SVG format. I found it on GitHub. Just choose Raw at the file info section and right click on it to save it to your computer. https://github.com/sttz/MPlayer-OSX-Extended/blob/8a0ec1e4519bb791d34907d392e454870f7f722c/extras/Icons/File%20Template%20small.svg

0 ajua
If you are not a designer, you can take the SVG file (as it is a vector image, you can make any size you want/need) and search for tutorials on how to make a folded paper/page curl effect (I've seen many search results) if you can't find a layered PSD file on that icon. 0 +virtorio MVC Posted April 20, 2013 MVC Share Posted April 20, 2013 I had a spare couple of minutes so I put this together in Photoshop. Pixel perfect it is not (in fact no where near), but it might have helpful. There are saved paths for the page layer and folder layer so you can re-create them to tweak the shadow as desired. folder.psd guillermovelasco 1 Share
