Source: Boston suspect ID'd and arrested!

Recommended Posts

(CNN) -- Investigators believe they have identified a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings, a source who has been briefed on the investigation told CNN's John King exclusively.

The breakthrough came from analysis of video from a department store near the site of the second explosion. Video from a Boston television station also contributed to the progress, said the source, who declined to be more specific but called it a significant development.

Earlier, a federal law enforcement source with firsthand knowledge of the investigation told CNN that a lid to a pressure cooker thought to have been used in the bombings had been found on a roof of a building near the scene.

While such clues may move the investigation forward, they did not reveal whether the attack was an act of domestic or foreign terrorism.

"If your experience and your expertise is Middle East terrorism, it has the hallmarks of al Qaeda or a Middle East group," former FBI Assistant Director Tom Fuentes said. "If your experience is domestic groups and bombings that have occurred here, it has the hallmarks of a domestic terrorist like Eric Rudolph in the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics bombings."

Is it odd for terrorists to wait so long to claim responsibility? Don't they usually want to capitalise on their 15 minutes to spew their incoherent/paranoid/delusional nonsense?

"We oppose the browning of America! Sieg Heil"

"Allah be praised, die Western infidels!"

"we oppose abortion...by killing people"

"This country has gone socialist/communist/fascist - we oppose this"

And so on.

just looked at all those pics.. crazy how quickly they have been put together so quickly. the older guy in blue carrying the backpack on his arms looks like he has the most matching of backpacks with the gray stripe on the straps. really hope an arrest is made within the next 12 hours or so.

These pics are going viral:

Do you guys think you could fit a pressure cooker in these backpacks?

This makes me uncomfortable.

We have no idea who these people are but merely suggesting that they could be involved can spell trouble for them and their personal lives. People will act on bad information and people end up hurt, falsely accused, and lives ruined.

Leave the CSI to the FBI.

My thoughts exactly. Can you imagine what will happen to those guys identified? They could be killed. Tormented. And... they may very well be innocent!

of course. Im just saying the volume of pics of the bomb site is at least somewhat promising of catching the person.

The race between getting it first and getting it right claims another victim.

It's infowars, getting it right is not part of their agenda

I wasn't talking about infowars. I wouldn't waste valuable time talking about those nuts. I meant the media's rush to claim an arrest had been made before they could absolutely confirm it. Too many outlets are so concerned with getting the news first ,it usually comes at the expense of accuracy. As we've seen here.
