I'm going to upgrade my desktop computer which I was going to replace my AMD Ph. X4 for an AMD XP 4.0Ghz but I see Microcenter has an i7 3775K 3.5Ghz for $229. I only a motherboard and RAM and new casing. Already have an GeForce GTX 650ti. Also have a 128GB SSD ForceGT.

Corsair XMS3 (2) 8GB RAM

$472 which keeps me under $500 mark for a reall high end machine. Is this good? If not anything would you change?

If you want to stick with Gigabyte, I would suggest the one higher than the one you picked
