TCA
Yes the title is not an illusion... I own an iPhone 4S. I was skeptical about them for a long time, since I switched from T-Mobile to Sprint on the 30th. Which, I like the experience so far. I actually came off of Gingerbread 2.3.6 on an MB611. That phone was on its last leg anyways only thing I don't like is iOS 6.1.3... Keeps shutting my 3G data off and on...well time to go run errands

nMIK-3
Going from Android to iOS depending your needs you may not feel the downgrade so I can understand that, but downgrade yourself from a pure GSM/42Mbps HSPA/upcoming 100Mbps LTE T-Mobile's network to an ancient CDMA Sprint is consider a suicide for me. May I ask why you did that? +E.Worm Jimmy and Raa 2 Share
]SK[
Grats. There's no doubt the iPhone is a very good phone. It's just since Steve's departure iOS has been pretty boring. I hope they pull some magic this year otherwise I might be tempted to give Android another try (Ex-HTC Desire user).
Praetor
congrats, although coming from a 2.3 GB to IOS 6.1 is like coming from a 3rd world country to a 1st one; now if you tried JB (4.2.2)...it's amazing. Raa and +E.Worm Jimmy 2 Share
Shadrack
When I was on AT&T I really had no issues at all with my 3G data being consistently on w/o any problems. I've since switch to StraightTalk which uses AT&T towers and has the same speed as AT&T but I occasionally have to toggle airplane mode off-and-on because my data connection does appear to be working properly (especially when I am on travel). Toggling Airplane mode corrects the issue. I think that it is a combination of quality of cell provider service stuff and iOS. I don't think it would be unreasonable for iOS to periodically check data integretity and attempting to fix it (by resetting it or whatever) if there are issues. The iPhone is new to T-Mobile (although lots of users have brought unlocked iPhones to T-Mobile in the past). I suspect that they will iron out these kinks eventually. I can't speak for him, but for many folks HSPA+ ~12-20mbps speeds is more than adequate for the vast majority of smartphone applications. 4S supports that. Hell, my connection tops out at 4mbps in my area but I have no interest in paying double for my cell service for LTE speeds.

hdca18
Bought my first Apple product was iPhone 1st generation. It was so new the network wasn't up and fully functional when I purchased the phone until a couple of days later. Every since I've had an iPhone 4, currently an iPhone 5. Bought a MacBook Pro 13" laptop after finished university, and traded it for a 24" iMac. Works like a charm.
Obi-Wan Kenobi
An iPhone 3? Why that old? Thats not gonna be all that fun imo. I know, but it beats my flip phone I'm using right now, and money is tight. (Had to revert to my old sgh-a707) Beats this antique phone by a mile anyway. Plus, it's free, lol :D

Sprint isn't exactly known for having the best signal depending on what area of the country you are in. Davo 1 Share

Mr.XXIV
I have an iPhone 5 on Sprint, it's actually been really perfect for me. Plus when I'm home, I get signal from a box that connects to the internet, called Airave.
TCA
@Mr.XXIV I didn't have wifi at the moment to use airave. I was in a GOOD reception area and got crap service. but if I went on State st going towards canton, it was fine.
