Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 System Info

Recommended Posts

  1. Open the start menu and type "Services.msc" without the quote in the "Search" area.
  2. From the "Services.msc" window, look for "Help & Support" entry and right click on it.
  3. From the drop down menu, select "Properties"
  4. On the new screen, look for "Startup Type" and select "Automatic".
  5. Press OK and close all windows
  6. Reboot your computer

Instead of rebooting you could also "start" it manually after you made the automatic change.

Same instructions as Zero gave but look for Windows Management Instrumentation in Services.msc. Make sure it is set to Automatic.

Posted same question on another forum, guy told me to do this but didnt work.

This is a fix for this problem:

Open a Elevated Command Prompt (go to run, then type cmd)

then type in the following:

net localgroup administrators NetworkService /ADD

I don't have a Windows 7 box in front of me but think you need to stop the Windows Management Instrumental Service, then delete the repository folder which is located %systemroot%\system32\wbem\ . Start Windows Management Instrumental.Service.

Reboot machine and then check if your system info is working.

Run CMD with admin rights. Type in "sfc /scannow" without the quotation marks. Restart and see if you still have the issue :)

Even though this is for Vista- Same should apply for Windows 7 (this is re-registering the WMI)

I think it is because your WMI is not running...is why it is not showing.

http://wiki-tech.blogspot.com/2008/06/fix-msinfo32exe-error-in-windows-vista.html

The main part is the netstop/start part that I think will fix it- but then again re-registering dll files that are already registered won't hurt anything.

a shot in the dark but I think your msinfo file is corrupted amongst other files try this......1) open your pc and reseat the memory and run a memory test using memtest or your favorite program. 2) check your hard drive for bad sectors and fragmentation 3) run a virus/spyware/trojan/rootkit scan to make sure no little critters are running around. 4) consider a system restore to a point everything was working YOU WILL LOSE ANYTHING YOU HAVE NOT BACKED UP IF YOU DO THIS

good luck!!!

Startup Item -

Microsoft windows operating system

cmd.exe /c start "AMD Accelerated Video Transcoding device initialization" /min "C:\Program Files\AMD AVT\bin\kdbsync.exe" aml

When starting up windows and I get to desktop a cmd box appears.

As the description describes, that's related to either the AMD video chipset driver you have on your system or a dedicated AMD graphics card driver.
