Even though this is for Vista- Same should apply for Windows 7 (this is re-registering the WMI)
I think it is because your WMI is not running...is why it is not showing.

The main part is the netstop/start part that I think will fix it- but then again re-registering dll files that are already registered won't hurt anything.

a shot in the dark but I think your msinfo file is corrupted amongst other files try this......1) open your pc and reseat the memory and run a memory test using memtest or your favorite program. 2) check your hard drive for bad sectors and fragmentation 3) run a virus/spyware/trojan/rootkit scan to make sure no little critters are running around. 4) consider a system restore to a point everything was working YOU WILL LOSE ANYTHING YOU HAVE NOT BACKED UP IF YOU DO THIS

good luck!!!

Just noticed a entry on msconfig>startup

Startup Item -
Microsoft windows operating system

cmd.exe /c start "AMD Accelerated Video Transcoding device initialization" /min "C:\Program Files\AMD AVT\bin\kdbsync.exe" aml

When starting up windows and I get to desktop a cmd box appears.

As the description describes, that's related to either the AMD video chipset driver you have on your system or a dedicated AMD graphics card driver.
