Picture folder does not update

My Pictures folder does not update the icons when I Delete a picture.

The icon remains, even after I delete a picture.

[Just noticed that deleting a Document, the folder does not update either]

I tried the Error checking -- did not help.

What Registry tweak does my laptop need ?

Thanks.

have you check the permissions for the pictures folder or tried to delete it as a admin?

^ Updating worked until a couple of weeks ago.

The folders do update, reflecting the Deletes, if I go back, then forward.

The items I want Deleted do in fact delete -- the open folder just does not show this.

The only registry monkeying I did, was to restore to CopyTo and MoveTo functions we had with Windows XP.

I guess the only way to fix the update problem is to do a Repair install of Windows.

Hum,

Correct me if I am wrong, but you are referring to the thumbnails which display the content within a folder?

If so, have you tried using a utility such as Disk Cleanup to clear the thumbnails?

^ The thumbnails, when I delete a pic, do not change, even tho the file itself goes to the Recycle Bin.

This is not just a Pictures folder problem, the Documents also do not change.

I'm betting the Music and Videos folders will also not update.

Hmm ... Music folder does update correctly -- Videos do not.
