Photo programs

My free trial of lightroom is getting ready to run out and I am looking at a few different options to replace it. I was wondering if anybody has tried digikam or Photoscape? I cannot find any comparisons between the two. I am looking for a simple editor/manager nothing over the top. It will be used on a Windows 7 machine.

Photoscape: http://www.photoscape.org/

Given lightroom is like ?89.

Why would you not want to buy it?

It is a great bit of software and has probably sped up my photo editing workflow by 90% for the vast majority of the images I take. I can't recommend it enough.

I will be in the future, but as a recent college grad it just is not in the budget for the next few months.

RawTherapee is kinda good, but also a mite frustrating if you've ever used Lightroom, which you've said you have. It's also mildly irritating that you've just graduated, since you could have used the student deal they have. GIMP also has a few reasonable photo editing features, which you could make use of.

What you can do is download the Lightroom 5 Beta, which will still be operational for a while longer, it expires on June 30, so you've got about two months.
