More Grand Theft Auto V screenshots released

by John Callaham

Last week, Rockstar Games released three new story-based trailers from Grand Theft Auto V. Today, the publishers released a new batch of high resolution screenshots showing off more of of the next game in the open world action series.

The 12 new screenshots can be seen at the official GTA V website and offer fans a wide variety of locations and situations that have yet to be seen before now. The screenshot above is one example as a Cuban 800 plane, presumably one that can be piloted by the player, is flying over a coastal highway.

Some of the other new screenshots showcase a few of the many different cars and motorcycles in the game, along with some more underwater scuba action and even someone parachuting into a forest. Of course, a few of the new screenshots show some shooting; this is a Grand Theft Auto game after all.

Rockstar Games plans to release GTA V on September 17, 2013 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. There's no word on if the game will be released for the PC, nor if there are any plans to port the game to work on Sony's PS4 and Microsoft's still unofficially announced next Xbox console.

Pretty sure it was previously announced the game WILL be coming to PC. A couple of websites mistakenly posted it early.

"Looks Like GTA V Is Coming to the PC After All "

IGN's GTA V page lists it for XBOX, PS3 and PC : http://uk.ign.com/games/grand-theft-auto-v/pc-20593

Damn right. I'm looking forward to some cruising also. Specially on the backroads and mountains haha

EDIT: Just realised how dodgy that sounds :o

They said 5x bigger, if you count the explorable underwater bits too. Rather curious how that will all work out, but man, I'm psyched! :woot:

I really really really hope Oculus Rift catches on big time. It's about time we have something amazing like this, available at a reasonable price to the consumer with developers actually jumping on board.

This has to be either Pre-Rendered Cutscenes or running on a PC. They look too good to be Xbox 360 or PS3 graphics at this scale.

Will be a PC-based dev kit or a console with higher anti-aliasing levels (but only for screenshot purposes).

Hopefully it'll make an appearance on the new Xbox and PS4.
