I hope these specs are true, a 1920x1200 screen would be great. Btw ltps means:

(Low Temperature PolySilicon LCD) An active matrix LCD screen that is faster and more integrated than screens made with amorphous silicon substrates. Rather than the single-crystal silicon used in chips, amorphous silicon advanced the active matrix industry by allowing thin film transistors (TFTs) to be deposited on large substrates. There is a huge investment in existing amorphous technology; however, polysilicon provides an alternate approach for certain applications. The larger and more uniform grains of polysilicon (poly-Si) allow electrons to flow 100 times faster than they do through the random-sized grains of amorphous silicon (a-Si), enabling higher resolutions and higher speed. In addition, instead of surrounding the screen area, the row/column driver electronics are integrated onto the glass substrate, thereby reducing the TFT section and the wiring between the pixels. Thus, LTPS LCD pixels can be closer together and achieve densities of 200 dpi and greater.

Smaller battery than the original Nexus 7? Interesting! 1080p display will be very very nice.

I honestly can't see Google using an OEM that is unknown. Who are EMS? Or does that mean as in the actual factory company, such as Foxconn?

It's another Asus.

EMS = Electronics Manufacturing Services? (by Quanta)

Unknown OEM? According to this chart, it's Asus...

Interesting specs, but let's wait for the official announcement to see the real specs. The specs are mighty tempting, but I'm going to have to skip this next generation of tablets. I just don't find them very useful for much of anything. I'd rather have a netbook/ultra-portable with much more functionality.

To Clarify, it says OEM=EMS. Can't say I've heard of them! However it is branded Asus.

I'm waiting for v2 to pick one up as soon as possible, my rooted Kindle Fire is still OK but can't handle newer games, this if true would be a sweet upgrade, even if the price is higher

Wait till some Android fanboys telling you that Cloud is everything.

Google has already said they're discouraging expandable memory... Stereo speakers and HDMI out would be nice. I guess we'll find out this week

If the rumoured specs turn out to be true I might be tempted to replace my current Nexus 7 with a v2 model.

Nice specs but my Nexus 7 is doing everything I want / need so far!

If that is true then it is a pretty nice upgrade! 32GB minimum with 64 & 128 GB options as well.

Speakers like the Kindle Fire HD has would be great as the Fire HD is easily the best sounding tablet out there. I love stock Android though and am happier in Google's ecosystem than Amazon's. If they keep the price the same I will pre-order the second I can.
