Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion, the second stand alone game in the space-based RTS series, is getting its first DLC pack in about a month. Developer Ironclad Games and publisher Stardock have announced that the DLC pack, Forbidden Worlds, will be available to download June 5th for $4.99 from Stardock's online store as well as other online sources.

The game's official website has the details on the DLC pack, which will add four new planet types for players to explore and exploit: Barren, Ferrus, Greenhouse, and Oceanic. In addition, Forbidden Worlds adds a new feature called the Planet Specialization System. If a player chooses to improve one of their planet's social output, that will mean the planet will see an increase in its population and culture. If you want to have the planet become a bigger economic force, you can dedicate it to increasing its industrial output, which will allow for better trade and ship building.

The upcoming DLC pack will also include 15 new research subjects to discover, 40 new planet bonuses to find and five new Steam achievements to unlock in the game.
