Installed Cyanogenmod on my S4

Recommended Posts

An unfinished CyanogenMod ROM finally landed for the S4 (i9505) and I flashed it. Originally I stumbled upon issues like Wi-Fi stopped working, but now after a quick command in Terminal I got that back on too! Loving it so far.

So far the only thing the ROM doesn't support is NFC, but I never use that so I'm not bothered about that. Also they havent cleared out the obscene amount of space used up by the OS, it still has the space reserved by Samsung for the OS so you still only have 9GB free, hopefully an update will clear that.

Hop on over to xda or the site of your choice, and there should be a guide to rooting and installing custom ROM's.

I'm not sure of it was locked, I literally just followed the instructions and it worked. I have the S4 my carrier (UK EE)
