Who made a fake, but cool looking, PS4 promo video? by John Callaham
On Sunday, what looked like a professionally made video promotion for Sony's upcoming PlayStation 4 console made its way to YouTube. Unfortunately, it appears that video was in fact an elaborate fake, but now the question is, "Who made the clip?"
The YouTube video itself shows various people staring into the camera, all of which have one of the four PlayStation button symbols in their eyes. The clip also includes brief glimpses of PS4 gameplay and even quick flashes at a version of the PS4 console itself.
It certainly looks like a video that could be made by Sony's marketing team but according to IGN, a Sony spokesperson is quoted as saying, "We did not produce or release this." That means that the console that was pictured in the video is not the real thing.
In fact, Sony has yet to reveal the actual case design of the PS4. The company declined to do so back in February when it officially announced the console. It's expected that Sony could reveal the final design for the PS4 during its pre-E3 2013 press conference in Los Angeles, which will be held on June 10, after Microsoft's own pre-E3 press conference.
