linkskey router power voltage help.

I have a Linkskey LKR-604 router.

problem is the transformer plug went bad. and the only transformer I have is a multiswitch one

now here is the issue.

the linkskey router says it take 5v 800ma

but the transformer is 300ma and choices are 4.5, 6, and 7.5

I tried it on 4.5 and only the power light comes on.

on 6 its the same.

on 7.5 the router went into full power mode.

now that seems 2.5 volts too much. but the router seems to only work on that setting.

That PS does not output enough current to run the device.

at first i thought this was a typo for LINKSYS... seriously did not that company was real. i've lost count how many people mispronounce LINKSYS.
