Electronic Arts is looking like it is ready to get into the already crowded MOBA game genre that's currently dominated by League of Legends. Today, a website for the game, Dawngate, was discovered that is already offering a way for people to sign up for its closed beta test.
The website, which was first discovered by the anonymous person behind the superannuation Twitter page, states that the EA development team behind Dawngate is called Waystone Games. Aside from the image above, the only real info about Dawngate is the description below:
Dawngate is a new MOBA, built from the ground up to look and feel familiar while offering a whole new way to experience MOBA gameplay. Dawngate empowers you to forge the champions you love for the roles you want in a competitive arena, shaped by ever-evolving, community-driven content and story. All in all, this sounds like boiler plate stuff for the MOBA genre but the website was likely not ready for prime time yet before it was found. It's possible that we will learn more details about Dawngate in the very near future, perhaps at E3 2013 during the publisher's press event.
