Windows Phone and Windows RT fail to connect to MS Exchange via OWA.

Windows Phone and Windows RT fail to connect to MS Exchange via OWA while IPhone and iPad connect using the same settings flawlessly.

As far as I understand Microsoft won't fix this shameful issue unless we start histerical campaign. They're concerned more wtih Instagram for Windows Phone or iTunes for Modern UI.

I'm using it with EAS at work perfectly... Nokia Lumia 920.. Calendar events and emails as well as contacts come in great!

I could never get OWA working on WP7.

Works for me, though still begs the question of why you are using OWA to begin with? What version of Exchange?

Um, ActiveSync not only works, but it works better than iOS and in ways Android can only dream of. Why are you citing OWA to begin with?

OWA means Office Web Access. My Lumia 920 and ASUS VivoTab RT cannot connect while my colleague connects his iPhone and iPad using same settings. It is a shame!

What version of Exchange?

8.2.176.0

I haven't tried it,so cant rule out if its from the OS specifically,or if its a connection problem(ports,etc..).

either way, I don't understand why you are making such a big deal about it,saying things such as shameful. It really isn't. EAS works, so I don't think OWA is a top priority anyways. Yes it is a Microsoft service, but windows phone has to focus on higher priorities right now, for the better of the platform. I doubt OWA has anything to do with helping mass market penetration of the OS. You should have known this before choosing the platform anyways.

I just tested and OWA on Exchange 2007 SP2 works, not that I'd ever want to, from my WP7 and Surface. Will test from my wife's 8X later. At that point though, its an Exchange issue, not a WP one, and Exchange starting with 2007 has much broader browser support than it did previously. I don't remember if there are any updates in SP3 for OWA, but worth a look.

Same settings? Its a web address and a credential, what settings are you referring to exactly? Error? Pre or post logon?

Hmmm. It sounds like you don't know the mail server settings. Also you should say exchange 2007, 8.2.176.0 has almost no meaning to people...it is like asking them what version of windows are you on and you give them 6.1.7601.17514 instead of saying windows 7.

Don't forget you will need domain\user for the username. The slash must be in the right direction.

I did it right in this way. Same settings work flawlessly for iPhone and iPad.
