Just fyi, it appears there's been an update for the Windows 8 music and video apps.

The changelog still hasn't been updated, but from what I can tell this update isn't substantial. Biggest difference is that it's much, much faster and they've changed some of the icons.

Still can't pin artists to start, smartdj options are still lacking (I want to limit to just artists in my collection and I can't :( )

Every little bit helps.

EDIT: They've updated the feedback form as well, if you folks aren't using it you shouldn't be complaining ;)

My Videos Still has the shadow scaling problem and the release year isn't shown like it was in previous versions.

Id love if we could bring up this ui for our tagged movies with all the info read from the metadata
