He wouldn't even acknowledge that single player works offline, talk about question dodging :/ Always online is around the 3:20 mark.

He said there are games modes you can play with no internet connection. The game makers will probably lead it into primarily online features

This shouldn't surprise you, it seems like we need a new topic for every little thing that comes out.

As far as the video it doesn't say much, it depends on the game. If the game has parts up online then you need a connection, this isn't exactly new or anything. Look at games coming that keep a large part of the "game world" online but allow you to play single player. How do you expect to play that in any real way without a connection?

All the guy is saying is that the system itself uses lots of online/cloud services to work and it was primarily made with those services in mind, it doesn't mean it can't work offline, it'll just be in a reduced state.
