Burger King Rib Sandwich

Recommended Posts

Since everyone is all on how fast food is bad for you, I am going to start reviewing fast food.. take that!.....

anyways!

First up, the new BK Rib Sandwich

Size: It's not a small sandwich, it is about the size of a normal BK whopper

Ingredients: Rib patty similar to the McRib at McDonalds in shape and form, BBQ Sauce, and pickles

The bun was slightly different then other BK buns, it was thicker and they toasted it to give it a more crunchy feel. The rib patty felt exactly like the McDonalds McRib and had an almost similar taste. It was not dipped in BBQ sauce like the McRib is however. BK covers the top of it in a tangy BBQ sauce that has a kick to it and a hint of smokiness. It is definitely a stronger sauce then most are use to with the McRib, but works out great taste wise with this sandwich. The pickles are the only thing that throws the sandwich off some, but still work well together with the BBQ sauce.

If you are expecting a replacement for the McRib, it is close. Burger King definitely pulled this sandwich off and made a pretty good attempt. At approx. $4 a sandwich though, it can be a bit pricy for what you get.

Taste: 9/10

Size: 8/10

Sauce: 8/10

========

Overall: 8/10

To me, that suggests you're going to publish nutritional data, not how good it tastes.

Yum would hit that up like a mac truck if it were available in Aus.

Is $4 really on the pricey side of a burget in the States though?

to me it means I'm tired of hearing about nutritional stuff, I'm going to talk about taste

great review, however after I tried the McRib and had to stop eating after 1 bite I will be passing on this. If I goto BK, I am getting a Whopper. Keep the reviews coming!!

no, $4 is pretty average for a fast food sandwich. People want to think that fast food is still cheap, but it's not. i just paid over $8 for a combo at wendy's today.

Chedder stuffed bacon whopper right now isn't to bad. It's a flame broiled beef patty with ground bacon pieces and chedder cheese mixed into the patty, topped with onion rings, lettuce, tomato, mayo on a similar bun, but I think they just ended that promotion for this year... we're on to BBQ season now...

A lot of that is the influence of Manager bribes, er, bonuses. ;)

What I hate about these boneless rib meat mushes is they are just dishonest. At least with ground beef I can accept the fact that it is ground up and served in patty form. I doubt these "rib" sandwiches even contain rib meat... they might contain some meat but who knows what kind.

Thanks for the review!

I feel the same way, just because they form some mystery meat into the shape of ribs does not make them ribs.

man the mcrib where I live is only available once every year or so :/ Hopefully this will fill the spot if it does make it to Honduras, Central America.
