No. From the sounds of it, it functions exactly the same as the laser guns that we've seen. The difference here is that it's been put in a container to make it look like a lightsaber hilt. Pity, I was excited. :(

This is highly dangerous. A 3 watt laser let alone a 100mW laser should never be shined INDOORS! The reflections alone could easily blind you. Luckily most blue and red lasers (non dpss) do not produce IR or this guy would have been instantly blinded.

In some countries you need a permit to have very powerful blue and green lasers. So there could be laws against it, depending on where you live.
