Hum
Two police officials have been suspended in China after they handcuffed a teenaged girl and made her walk up and down a street for accidentally spilling a drink on a government car. The incident caused a stir on Chinese social networking sites, which were buzzing with posts from outraged citizens as the picture of the handcuffed 13-year-old hit the internet. The officials have been accused of acting in a domineering manner with the child. A post on a Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo , published on Monday, suggested that the officials started arguing with the girl after she accidentally spilled the drink on the government vehicle. Following the argument, the officials handcuffed the girl and forced her to parade on the street for 20 minutes. He also said that the girl was handcuffed because the police officers believed she was older than her actual age. The incident took place in the county of Hezhang, Guizhou province, according to China's state-run news agency Xinhua. more
