with haswell and upcoming stronger intel mobile processors i really begin to ask whats the point of the RT version? soon we will be able to run slim, light, powerful full windows ultrabooks, tablets, hybrids without the sacrifice of the RT version.

in the middle to long run - RT is a dead end

what do you think?

As a pure consumption device for smaller 7-8" tablets RT is not a dead end. You're not going to be running Office on such small devices really, and I expect they'll be the first to actively hide the desktop so it's not even seen/used.
