According to a new report from SpoilerTV, ?Supernatural? season 9 will pick up on Tuesday, October 15 with all-new episode ?Devil May Care,? and feature the introduction of several new hunters, new to us anyway. Producers are reportedly looking to cast the roles of Tracy a ?gorgeous bad-ass? hunter, and Irv, a manly hunter type and old friend of the Winchesters.

Sci-fi staple Tahmoh Penikett (Dollhouse, Battlestar Galactica) has landed a multi-episode arc on Season 9 of Supernatural, TVLine has learned.

 

Penikett?s Ezekiel is ?a dignified warrior angel injured in the Fall? that took place at the close of last May?s finale, says executive producer Jeremy Carver.

 

He will first appear in the Season 9 premiere, airing on the show?s new night, Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 9/8c.

Earlier today we caught our first glimpse of ?Supernatural? trio Sam, Dean and Castiel back in action for season 9, though it seems yet another new face will arrive to take them back in time. ABC ?Whodunnit? host Gildart Jackson has been added for a potentially recurring role significant to the Men of Letters history, but will Sam and Dean be around to see it?

 

Via The Hollywood Reporter, we?ve learned that the ABC player will take the fourth episode role of Haggerty, a veteran member of the mysterious Men of Letters that pops up during a flashback to 1930. For now, Haggerty has only signed for fourth episode ?Slumber Party,? but has the option to return later in the season.
