one of my dogs photos... Man I loved her ( Died of vaginal yeast infection... ) And I was still learning how to use a dSLR ( Nikon d50)

The sad part is, I lost the original one to a bad HDD and when I uploaded way back then, it was to some random free hosting AND I had ****ty ass upload... What reamins are barely 0.5MP images of what was originally a 5MP

The first picture of my daughter being born... she'll be five soon. When I see that picture alone it always bring a tear to my eye...

One of my most treasured ones is of my Pitbull because it was the first time someone wanted to use my photos. It was used for a banner for a Pet photography workshop.

And here are the banners.

Mine would have to be this image. It's the hydro electric damn at my cottage in the Madawaska Valley in Central Ontario. It's not the most thrilling image, but it hold's a sentimental value to me. I've been visiting this damn multiple times a year since I was able to walk. I've swam and fished in that river, I've red books on those rocks. It just really peaceful and I was able to capture it in its glory.

I'm not sure where to post this, but how do you guys get the images to be so sharp? Is there a special technique? Or photoshop afterwards? Or did you use some real expensive good quality equipment for this?

Especially the pictures from Skiver, KingCracker, c.grz.

Thanks

The lens was my trusty 50mm f1.8 Nikon lens.  Only thing I did afterwards was edit the contract and sharpened the picture using Photoshop.
