I'm sure it's just a placeholder.

i think they used the same placeholder for when the PS3 and Xbox 360 came out. I would venture to say that the games will stay the same 59 to 69 mark because people already complain about that being to high.

that sounds too much. If they are not selling XB1 at loss - they should implement variable pricing.

There is no way Xbox One games will be $99, absolutely no way. If you bought 5 games, that's $500, but even at $60 its $300! With how expensive games are, consoles should just be free!

The UK pricing is equally as ridiculous, as always ?55($90) & ?90 ($140) for a controller, insanity

Link to the main game page for the Xbox One games and it's price at $59.99. Could be a mistake on Amazon part.

I don't know why we have to go through this every time. On top of what you said, there's the whole...

Pricing and Release Date not Final

Official pricing and release date have not been announced by the publisher. These are estimates only and subject to change. Pre-orders will be covered by the pre-order price guarantee and only be charged at the lowest price available between the date the order was placed and the final release date.

Not for me. All these games they showed today are NOT a must own whatsoever!

The closest game that screams Must-Own is Quantum Break, but 1) haven't seen enough 2) It alone is not enough to get Xbox One at launch!

All the games I'm seeing are 59.99$US to pre-order on amazon.com and 59.99$CAN on amazon.ca.

^^ Just came on to post this, Thief is showing at $99.99, but AC4 and Watch Dogs both show $59.99

It seems like only the games with no release date announced gets the 99.99$ pricing. With this mentionned at the bottom page;

Amazon.com Bonus Offer Pricing and Release Date not Final

Official pricing and release date have not been announced by the publisher. These are estimates only and subject to change. Pre-orders will be covered by the pre-order price guarantee and only be charged at the lowest price available between the date the order was placed and the final release date.

Yep. Including ALL of the PS4 games (and the PS4 is scheduled for release on Dec 31st, which we know is wrong). It's all placeholder.

As others said they're just placeholders until they get the proper pricing. They generally would rather list it for higher and mark it down later as they can't charge you more if they initially charged too little (I have locked in games in the past at cheaper price and Amazon honored it despite raising the cost a few days later to the actual price it should've been).
