You mean a coma?

I don't know exactly what it's called in english, but I thought about the process of preserving them in sub-zero temperature areas.

Maybe you have seen Lockout, well there the prisoners are freezed in space, but I guess the process of cryopreservation could also be applied on earth.

Put them into cryostasis, you don't kill them and yet they can't harm others :D

Only if it's ending is like Demolition Man. Then yes I agree.

Problem is, all of that is fake and only in the movies, a chemical induced coma is real.

Electric needles OK but they should turn the voltage up a bit till theyre smelling nice and crispy.

Back on a serious note the use of non-standard medical treatments i.e. acupuncture in lab tests has not been proved beyond reasonable doubt to make any improvement in the patients ailments beyond the placebo effect.

In reality cryogenic storage causes ice crystals for form in the cells and damages them so it's probably going to be a fatal punishment if their brain survives the initial freezing :P
