7 Ways to Avoid the NSA's Eavesdropping

Here is 7 ways to avoid the NSA's Prism program

1. The first way to avoid the NSA's Prism program is to use the USPS. Mailing someone a letter may take days, but they wont ever to read the letter you've sent.

2. Another way to avoid the NSA's Prism program is type stuff on a typewriter. There is no way the NSA can read physical papers being written on a typewriter. You may have to restart typing your letter many times, but in the end its totally secure.

3. You can use a analog camera to take and share photos. You can develop your photos and show them off to friends and family. There is no way the NSA can see these.

4. To talk to your friends and family, you can use a HAM radio to chat instead of VOIP, chat, video, or voice.

5. Windows 95 is an ancient OS that wont likely be able to connect to the internet, but it still good to get your work done. You'll just need to find a old computer running it.

6. You wont likely find any punch card computers around but are a great place to store information securely.

7. Libraries are great places to find information without having the NSA seeing what you're researched and having what you searched for stored in their database.

A great guide for paranoid crazy people.

Yeah this would be a solid article for crazy people, but I guess you're going to have to define what a crazy person is because how I see it, they ARE looking through my stuff, and regardless of what they do with it, it's a breach of my privacy. I'm obviously not going to consider any of these items as a substitute to what I already have, but to see that these items above are the only way out of NSA grasp is astonishing to me! :o

Or just stop being paranoid and stop thinking that the NSA finds you relevant. Unless you're making multiple phone calls, e-mails or searches for how to blow stuff up or kill mass people in some type of plot, you have zero to worry about.

But to have fun with the paranoid ones here, this post was probably flagged by PRISM and at some point this thread will be viewed by the spooks haha

PRISM has been going on for decades. It's nothing new at all. That former NSA guy leaked nothing that wasn't already public record. Think those documents Anonymous leaked are new? Do some searching to see how they pulled all of them from public records.

I already use a CB radio for most of my local communication with friends and family, mostly because it works for free and I don't have to worry as much about dead spots in this area. Got 3 radios, one in the house with an 18 foot antenna on a tower outside, and one in each car with a 3 foot antenna on top. We have a land-line phone, but it's only used occasionally for people who live outside the 20ish mile radius of my CB radio, or for giving to businesses.

The problem is that most people, even poor people, are so addicted to being always connected that they voluntarily put their whole lives on the internet, and never bother to consider the consequences, and suffer symptoms similar to drug withdrawal if their internet or the electricity goes out for a little while.

Tor over a VPN with PGP encrypted Tor Mail would be a more practical counter measure. They could still probably watch you if they really wanted to, but it would make keeping track of everybody pretty difficult.

I don't get it. Is this funny because Win 95 being online is no big deal? Am I missing something?

No the OP said, "5. Windows 95 is an ancient OS that wont likely be able to connect to the internet", so I guess the video was a response to that.

When you install 95 on your system, the Internet will not work until you manually install the drivers and setup the Internet by using the Ethernet or wireless...

Vista and newer of windows, Internet will be ready as soon as you choose your wireless or Ethernet ..

Oh get over yourself. If you're not breaking the law, you don't matter to them.

I don't quite understand some of the reactions here.

If you're not doing anything wrong, then you have nothing to hide (in most cases). However, it is perplexing that some don't seem to be bothered by any possible eavesdropping. What more could be a violation of your rights? Your privacy?

People are upset because "they" are looking through their stuff.

These people need to realize that this "they" they speak of are computers. A human doesn't see anything until it's flagged. You people honestly think they keep and physically look at a everything that comes through?. Not enough storage in the world for them to keep it all. No point in it. Stop thinking you're relevant to the NSA unless you're planning some type of terror plot.

This post was more than likely flagged because I used words like NSA, planned and terror plot. If looked at by a human at the NSA is something going to come out of it? No, because it's just some guy trying to talk some sense to some paranoids who think they're extremely relevant to the NSA when they are just scared because they're probably doing some type of pirating.

Which brings up another point. This is proof the government and the entertainment industry aren't in bed together like people believe. If they were, imagine how much PRISM could do for them if given access. How much you want to bet there's some entertainment execs out there extremely ****ed at the government right now? Some of them maybe even trying to get access to PRISM and it'll never happen lol

They can track us but can't track the 10 million illegals...

You miss the point completely. If the government has anything troving through my records or anyone elses records then that is wrong, human eye seeing it or not. It should not happen.

NSA certainly monitors regular radio.

7. Libraries are great places to find information without having the NSA seeing what you're researched and having what you searched for stored in their database.

If you check out a book, it gets stored in a computer database, along with your name, address, phone number. ;)

Some things that are innocent, or personal, sensitive, even joking, can be misinterpreted as questionable or threatening.

This can bring unwanted attention and embarrassment, or outright harassment of private individuals or companies.
