+jamesyfx Subscriber² Posted June 16, 2013 Subscriber² Share Posted June 16, 2013 I would also say FLAC if file size is not an issue. Or ALAC if you use iDevices.
Roxkis
I second third FLAC if you're only going to store music on your computer but if you plan on transferring that music to play on other devices you might want to consider another format. What do you plan on doing with the music?
The Evil Overlord
Audio Casette? 8 Track? (Seeing as everyone else has already mentioned flac)
Ambroos
Rip it with Foobar to FLAC and use AccurateRip to verify there was absolutely no quality loss.

Silpheed2K
You can rip it to any format you choose using fre:ac. It lets you rip and convert files to any format. I use it often when I want to rip CDs. http://freac.org So FLAC is the best for lossless quality and archiving of your music CDs besides creating an ISO. (like I do) The files are much easier to manage than ISOs though so I recommend FLAC for archiving. For transferring to different devices you can just use it to convert it to the format the player accepts from FLAC or the CD itself.
