#Michael
Anyone know if 3rd party companies are making accessories for the surface pro? I looking for a slightly more rugged type cover and I don't like the ones that microsoft sells.
Espada04
There are currently no 3rd party Type Cover like accessory that uses Microsoft's custom connector available in the market. It sucks, Either the Surface/Surface Pro hasn't picked up in popularity for 3rd party companies to support or Microsoft hasn't released the specification for the connectors for accessories to be made. More likely a popularity problem. There was no problem by accessory makers to crack open the Lightening Adapter for the newer generation iOS products (Apple added components to prevent knock off cables from being made so they didn't release the spec at all). We shall see if this changes with the Surface 2 that is supposed to be hitting shelves this year. Maybe Microsoft can actively court accessory makers in the hopes that they will release Surface compatible products.
